Year 1 Go orienteering – 14th October 2016

As part of their PE lesson Year 1 went orienteering on the KS2 playground. Orienteering is an Outdoor Adventurous Activity (OAA).

OAA  is a fundamental part of the PE curriculum where children participate in a range of activities whichpresent intellectual and physical challenges.  OAA encourages children to work in a team, building on trust and developing skills to solve problems.

Year 1 worked in pirate teams to find the characters and the secret numbers; they had to work as a team to find all the numbers. The  teams all shared brilliantly and worked exceptionally well.

You are great Year 1.
